Croft CE Primary School Local Offer 2019-20

SEND Parents Information Leaflet

Website SEND information

At Croft C.E. Primary we believe that all children have an equal right to a full and exciting education which will enable them to achieve their full potential.

The majority of pupils with SEND in our school are provided for within the class by adjustments to work, resources or teaching methods. Whilst we strive to be as inclusive as possible, we recognise that sometimes, to achieve their potential, children need very different strategies, teaching styles or learning provision. The Headteacher, SENCo, teachers and support staff work with parents and outside agencies to ensure the best approaches possible are used in order to support children with SEND.

We are committed to raising the aspirations of and expectations for all pupils, including those with SEND.

Our school commits to:

  • Identify and provide for pupils who have special educational and additional needs;
  • Work within the guidance provided in the SEND Code of Practice 2014;
  • Provide a SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) who works within the SEND Inclusion Policy;
  • Provide support and advice for all staff working pupils with special educational needs.

If you are concerned about your child, please do not hesitate to contact the class teacher in the first instance, who will happily discuss your child's progress and ways in which you can help your child at home.

Our local offer provides more details of our school systems.  If you have any questions or would like to come in and meet with me to discuss special educational needs, please contact the school office to arrange a phone call or a visit.
